Current players linked to GC

Heard on MMM on saturday that the GC side are making a play for Ablett with an offer of $1.5 million per year for 5 years, and for Hodge with an offer of $1.2 million per year for 4 years..

Other current players who are the subject of heavy GC talk are (as far as I know): Tippet, Beams.... actually that's all I can think of right now!! :lol:

Other than that... the title speaks for itself...

Pettard is a Qld boy, and can play, so I would expect they have a stab at him. Other than that everyone else at Melbourne will be contracted or too crap to consider.

They can have Fev for pick 1 and 2. He'd love it up on the Gold Coast too! :lol:

Hampson is a Brisbane boy too....might be looked at if we're given a good offer

Couldn't expect anything of note. He'd only be signing on for another 1 year at the cats you would think....

They'll look hard at Hampson, and we should be too. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to lose him, but if we're serious, we need to look at ways to get into that early part of the compromised draft...

List managers at Carlton are hopefully thinking the same thing: hopefully we'll see them move to retain/elevate Jacobs (I believe we do have room for 4 ruckmen on our list, given that one of them is Kreuzer), so that we don't end up short in the ruck if Hampson does go... and if Hampson takes giant strides next year and becoming an essentially required player, well, GC might want Jacobs instead

Depends if they bring in this Rookie tradiing business before the end of this year....

I hope we keep Hampson. He's a great prospect. I'd rather him on our team than him playing against us....

He's already openly stated that he will definitely be on the Gold Coast in 2011. Whether that is playing for GC, or being retired, he's not sure yet....

He would be good just for experience. Most of there squad will be under 20
